Glass Glamour at Glass Museum - "Danger of the Image"

A unique collection of glass dresses went on display at Broadfield House Glass Museum, Kingswinford, from the 19th July 2008. The pieces have been created by glass artist Diana Dias-Leao.

Diana originally came from Scarborough, but is now based in London. She has degrees in both fashion and glass and has worked in the fashion industry for both Katharine Hamnett and Marks & Spencer.

"The main message I wish to convey in my work is the fact that even though the image is glittering. It is the person inside who is precious"

"Diana's work is simply fantastic and carries powerful messages about image and inner beauty. As a previous winner of the coveted Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers Student Award, it is a great honour for the Glass Museum to host her first major exhibition"

Councillor Karen Shakespeare,
cabinet member for environment and culture
